Mr. G CHOKKALINGAM

39 years of experience in the area covering Economics, Equity Research, Market Research & Knowledge Management. Secured “Outstanding” degree in MA Economics from Vivekananda College, Ramakrishna Mission, Chennai (1981-983).

Started career at Institute of Economic Growth, Delhi (1983-1987) as ‘Research Assistant’ in early 1980s – assisted eminent Indian economists.

Secured ICSSR Doctoral Fellowship to pursue Ph.D. in Economics at Institute for Social & Economic Change (ISEC), Bangalore (1987-1990) (Thesis was not submitted).

From academics, moved to market research, by joining Operations Research Group as ‘Senior Market Research Executive’ at Bangalore (1990-1992).

Joined DSJ Group as “Econometrician” in 1992 and made a beginning in the field of capital markets.

Left Centrum Wealth Management in December 2013 to pursue own initiative in equity research after serving 3 years (2010-2013) as Chief Investment Officer. Before joining Centrum, served as ‘Director & Head-Research and Strategy’ at Barclays Wealth, India (2008-2010).

Prior to joining Barclays, associated with the ENAM Group for 15 years (1993-2008)-the last role in Enam was ‘Head of Research’ for Retail Equities.

Done around 1,000 interactions over the last 10 years on various TV Channels like Bloomberg TV, CNBC, ET Now, NDTV Profit, Sun News, Zee Business, etc., on the economy and stock markets.

Published several articles in Economic Times, Financial Express, Asian Journal of Economics, Economic and Political Weekly, etc. Contributed over 200 articles to DNA Business page and to answered stock queries for around three years for the Economic Times.

Holds a Post-Graduation Diploma in Business Management. Having 12+years of experience in Centrum Broking Ltd & Centrum Wealth Management Ltd with diverse exposure in the fields of Operations, client servicing, fund management & research. 

Vipul Goradia

Has over 15 years of Expericence. Prior joing Equinomics, he worked with Sharekhan Ltd. 

Pooja Punjabi

Works as an Equity Dealer with 8 years of experience. Prior joining Equinomics she worked with Kotak Securities as an Equity Dealer. 

Tarun Punjabi

Has over 15 years of work experience.Prior to joining Equinomics ,he worked with Automiles Hero, an Automobile company.

Nisarg Shah

Over 9 years of experience in Equity Research. Holds a Masters in Business Management with specialization in Finance and did his Bachelor’s degree in Financial Markets from Mumbai University. Is also a NISM Certified Research Analyst and also holds XXI B Portfolio Managers Certification from NISM. Prior joining Equinomics, he worked with IFast Financial Solutions India Pvt Ltd, a Singapore based Fintech Firm. 

Geet Agrawal

Over 2.5 years experience in Equity Markets & Research. Holds B. Tech (IT) from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology and an MBA in Finance from Mumbai University .
